Roseanne Barr Reveals Controversial Way Her Character Dies
You'd think with the launch of new Roseanne spinoff 'The Connors' the writers would want to stay away from further controversy.
But if Roseanne's latest admission has any truth to it, they have done anything but.
The actress has revealed the way in which they plan to kill off her character after she was unceremoniously booted from her namesake show.
And she is NOT happy.
“Oh ya, they killed her,” Barr told Brandon Straka’s YouTube show Walk Away.
“They have her die of an opioid overdose.
“I wanted to show [opioid struggle] in the show.
“But I was never going to have Roseanne die of an opioid overdose. It’s so cynical and horrible.
"She should have died as a hero or not at all … It wasn’t enough to [fire me], they had to so cruelly insult the people who loved that family and that show.”
Roseanne allegedly wanted to depict the struggles of opioid addiction and struggles through the show when the series was first rebooted after her own struggle in life.
No one attached to the project has commented on Roseanne's claims.
“Oh ya, they killed her,” Barr told Brandon Straka’s YouTube show Walk Away over the weekend. “They have her die of an opioid overdose.”
