ABBA Release First Picture Of Them Returning To The Studio
After shocking the world with news of their reunion earlier this year, ABBA have now released definitive proof that they are back recording together again.
The band confirmed in April this year that they’d recorded their first new material in a staggering 35 years.
They are going to release two new songs, one called ‘I Still Have Faith In You’ and another that we don't know the title of yet on a TV special set to air in November.
This will then be followed by a ‘virtual’ hologram ABBA tour in 2019.
A spokesperson for the band has denied rumours the band will perform at English festival Glastonbury in 2019.
Band manager Gorel Hanser has shared this picture on the groups Instagram account.
The pictures show the group recording at RMV Studio in Stockholm, Sweden.
Asked about the sound of the new tracks, Benny Andersson said: “One of the songs is like we would’ve written it [for] today. The other, we could’ve written in 1972."
Bjorn Ulvaeus agreed, “I think so,”
“It certainly sounds ABBA very much. If I were to listen to the British Top 10 today, I’d have no idea what’s going on.”
