Chris Dawson Claims He Saw His Wife On 'Antiques Roadshow'
Chris Dawson is adamant that there is "clear and uncontested evidence" that his wife Lynette is still alive after vanishing over three decades ago.
Dawson claims that an episode of Antiques Roadshow from 2006 features a woman who he believed to be lyn.
However, the episode didn't air in Australia until 2010, after which Dawson sent an email to his daughter after a friend recorded it.
"The show was filmed in Padstow, Cornwall, in England, and the likeness to your mum is uncanny," Dawson wrote in the email.
"It has given us a strong sense of hope that at last her whereabouts may be known."
However, Lyn's sister Patricia, denied the claims that she appeared on the program.
"There is no way this is Lyn," Patricia told the Telegraph.
"She would never wear anything frilly or lacy... I have compared the jaw line and nose," she noted. "Lyn came from a loving family and her disappearance left her adored daughters, who were two and four at the time, to grow up never knowing their mother or their mother's love."
Following the accusations, Patricia called on residents of the town to identify the woman who appeared on the episode of Antiques Roadshow. However, she maintains that it definitely wasn't her sister, Lynette.
In a newly-released statement, Chris Dawson's twin brother Paul said there is "clear and uncontested evidence that Lyn Dawson was alive long after she left Chris and their daughters."
