Former Sunrise Newsreader Makes TV Return After Being Sacked
Talitha Cummins, who's face you may recognise as one of the former weekend newsreaders on channel Seven's Sunrise, will make her television comeback on Network Ten's Studio 10.
This comes after the 36-year-old new mom was sacked by channel 7, just nine weeks after giving birth to baby Oliver, while she was still on maternity leave.
Cummins rightfully sued her former employer for the wrongful dismissal but has recently reached a confidential settlement with the network.
However, channel Seven is still in hot water and is currently facing two other lawsuits with former employees in the Supreme Court of NSW.
The newsreader will join hosts of Studio 10, Sarah Harris, Joe Hildebrand, Jo Casamento and Susie Elelman as a guest and is said to be looking forward to making her TV re-appearance.
"The brain's a bit rusty, but I'll be in safe hands of the great Studio 10 Crew", Talitha said.
The executive producer of Network Ten's breakfast program, Rob McKnight, has also sent a warm welcome to Cummins, saying that her "strong opinions on hot topics" make her a great fit for the program.
We hope this new opportunity works out well for her!
