Mum Fails To Have Her Guilty Plea Withdrawn On Baby's Death
An Adelaide mother who admitted to causing the death of her four-year-old daughter in a car crash has failed to have her guilty plea withdrawn in court.
Kylie Anne Hie, 34, is charged with causing death by dangerous driving by crashing a van into a truck in November 2013 while affected by methamphetamine, killing her daughter Charlotte.
Kyle and Charlotte had been at a funeral when she crashed her Toyota Hiace van while trying to overtake a 40-tonne timber-carrying truck.
She pleaded guilty in August this year but a day later applied to withdraw the plea, a move rejected by the South Australian District Court on Wednesday.
