The mobile phone turned 30 this week.
Back in August 1981 the inaugural phone call was made on Australia's first
public mobile network forever changing social culture in this country.
For a lazy $5000 you got the not exactly pocket size mobile, add to that
a further $800 for network rental and you then would be all set to make
that booty call late on a Saturday night.
