Idris Elba is the latest Hollywood actor to test positive for the coronavirus.

The 47-year-old took to his Twitter account to confirm the news that he tested positive to the virus.

The Cats star said that he is doing okay and isn’t showing signs of symptoms but is in self-isolation.

“This morning I tested positive for Covid 19. I feel ok, I have no symptoms so far but have been isolated since I found out about my possible exposure to the virus,” he wrote in the caption to a video.

“Stay home people and be pragmatic. I will keep you updated on how I’m doing. No panic.”

Elba has been in isolation since finding out on Friday that he had been in contact with someone who had tested positive to the virus.

In his video, he spoke about people “thinking about each other” and doing what they can to stop the spread of the disease.

“There are so many people whose lives have been affected,” he said.

Elba’s wife Sabrina was also shown in the video, although he said that she has not been tested for the virus.

“Sabrina has not been tested and she’s doing okay,” Idris said.

“I will keep you updated as how I’m doing but so far we’re feeling okay,” he concluded. “Stay positive and don’t freak out.

This comes after Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson tested positive to the virus while in Australia last week.

Wishing Idris a speedy recovery.
