Who said afl clubs had to just play footy for their fans? There’s now one has turned their hand to finding their fans love!

The Port Adelaide Football Club has launched a unique dating service in a bid to stop power fans “wasting precious time” dating Crows fans!

The club posted a video online on Wednesday night (watch it above) to advertise their service and already have more than 2,000 comments, mostly from interested singles!

“First it was The Bachelor, then it was Married At First Sight, and now it’s Port Adelaide’s Perfect Pear,” says the video’s narrator.

The video plays on the fact that Power fans aren’t compatible with a partner who supports cross town rivals, the Adelaide Crows.

“Have you wasted precious time and money on a romance, only to discover your love interest is on the wrong side of West Lakes Boulevard?” the video asks, cheekily showing vision of the demolition of AAMI Stadium at the Crows’ home base.

“Well, never again, we’re looking for single Port lads and ladies who are ready to mingle. If you’re in the market for a black, white and teal romance, we want you.”

Interested singles are asked to fill out a detailed match-making form, asking everything from hobbies, personality traits, favourite Power player, favourite pick-up line, and whether you prefer beers on the hill or champagne in a corporate box.

It looks as though the club will be responsible for matching 22 singles, making them 11 couples and sending them on a first date at one of their home games at Adelaide Oval.

Chosen singles will be asked to participate in an interview on the hallowed turf of Adelaide Oval where they’ll meet their match for the first time.

They’ll then begin their date while watching the Power game in an open air box.

At 3 quarter time the club will check in with them to find out if they want a second date or not and broadcast it at the ground!

We reckon that’s a pretty good idea and bound to be entertaining for the rest of the crowd at the game too.

If they say they do want a second date, they’ll be given a restaurant voucher, while if they don’t want a second date, they’ll be invited back to an event in the club’s final home game of the season.

It’s got to have a better chance than finding love on Married At First Sight anyway!
