If you’re totally into The Good Place on Netflix, sit down, we have some news.
The sitcom stars Kristen Bell as the recently-deceased Eleanor Shellstrop who, after a bureaucratic error, has found herself in The Good Place, an afterlife with no worldly restraints only reserved for society’s most morally upright people.
Thing is, creator of the show, Michael Schur, said that when The Good Place was picked up for a second season, he and his writers decided that four seasons was the “right lifespan” for the show.
“At times over the past few years we’ve been tempted to go beyond four seasons,” Schur wrote, “but mostly because making this show is a rare, creatively fulfilling joy, and at the end of the day, we didn’t want to tread water just because the water is so warm and pleasant.”

Hey, at least they’ve got an endgame and not letting the show drag forevermore.
I’m looking at you, The Simpsons.
