There are a lot of people who aren’t quite sure how Facebook works but one Mum has found out the hard way to only post what she knows is real.

Virginia Kavanagh posted a picture of a cake she found on Google when she was wishing her daughter’s friend a happy 18th birthday.

The cake was a personalised cake, based on the movie Frozen, with the name Beth on the side and Olaf and Elsa from the movie featured.

She added the message ‘Happy 18th birthday princess, hope you have a wonderful day, you have always been our favourite!! Lots of love VV & Stephen xxx.’

However, her daughter’s friend Beth responded with ‘OMG CAN’T BELIEVE THIS!! Thank you so much, Virginia and Stephen! I’ll need to pop round today and have some xxx.’

And Virginia clearly panicked and contacted a cake maker to get the exact same cake made for the next day.. at a cost of 200 pounds ($350AUD).

The story was shared on Twitter by her daughter Lauren, with people responding to the tweet saying ‘your poor mum bless her.’

Well, we have all just learnt a lesson.
