Essential workers will now be allowed to be driven to and from work by their spouse or domestic partners under a change in restrictions.
With SA entering its second day of the toughest COVID-19 restrictions seen in Australia to-date, authorities have shifted on people giving their essential worker partners a lift to work.
Those driving their partners will need to take the most direct route between home and the workplace.
The government has also clarified that people are permitted to leave the house to go to the service station.
Under the clarified rule, South Australians are permitted to go to the service station to buy petrol or groceries, however, will not be allowed to buy food or drinks prepared on-site for take-away or dine in.
Some bakeries have also been permitted to start selling wholesale baked goods, but are not permitted as yet to sell directly to the public.
