Two of life’s greatest pleasures are coming together in glorious fashion in South Australia’s Barossa Valley.

Local wines being paired with hand-made chocolates is sure to attract plenty of visitors when the Barossa Valley Chocolate Company at Tanunda opens this Friday.

Today Tonight are featuring the venue on Channel 7 tonight which is the creation of wine identity Chris Day, who spent almost 20 years planning the $6 million project.

It sounds and looks absolutely fab, with the website promoting it as the first chocolate company in the Barossa with more than 250 chocolate products.

“With an artisan chocolate kitchen, icecreamery, Benni’s Café and Vineyard Road cellar door, there’s something for the whole family at Barossa Valley Chocolate Company,” the website reads.

The chocolates are made on site, and the kitchen they’re made in is visible through windows in the retail shop.

Guests can enjoy high-end or family-friendly meals on an expansive deck overlooking a lake, with an ice-cream stand and restaurant rounding out the experience.

The store and café both open on Friday April 12.

It’s at 64 Burings Rd, Tanunda, and will be open daily from 9am-5pm.

See you there.
