Restaurants could be among the first places in our community to reopen when social distancing restrictions put in place to prevent the spread of coronavirus ease off.
Public health expert Adam Kamradt-Scott told 7News that parks, beaches and restaurants could be the first to open back up to the public, but we would need to maintain our social distance.
Meanwhile, nightclubs and gyms are likely to remain closed for longer given their propensity for spreading the virus.
While other states have seen stricter social distancing measures lead to the closure of some beaches, South Australian beaches have remained open with social distancing encouraged for beach-goers.
Australia’s Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr Nick Coatsworth, however, has cautioned against getting ahead of ourselves, saying that it’s “too early to be talking about relaxation” of the social distancing rules.
