The Powerball lottery jackpot for tonight’s draw is a record $110 million after it went eight weeks without being won.
It’s Australia’s biggest ever division one prize and “ff one single entry takes home the entire $110 million jackpot tonight, it will be the biggest Australian lottery prize ever won by a single entry,” The Lott spokesperson Bronwyn Spencer said.
“The current record is held by a Sydney health worker who scored just over $107 million in January this year.”
New figures were released today showing the luckiest areas of each state:
Victoria: St Albans and Werribee have had four division one winners.
Queensland: Warner and Gladstone have recorded three division one winning entries.
New South Wales: Griffith and Seven Hills.
South Australia: Woodcroft.
Western Australia: Success has had four division one winning tickets.
The most frequently drawn numbers from the main barrel in the past 15 months were 17 and 2 and least frequent were 12 and 1.
