South Australia’s much-loved travel voucher program has once again proved too popular for its own good.

The website hosting registrations for the travel vouchers crashed shortly after the second round went live at 11am.

Would-be travellers soon took to Twitter to vent their frustrations about the website, which was displaying the message: “The service is unavailable” to most users.

The site’s struggles to match user demand were felt previously during the first round of the voucher program.

On that occasion, vouchers sold out within hours of going live, despite the technical issues.

The South Australian Tourism Commission has been asking users to remain patient, telling us that the high demand is to blame and we should try refreshing the page.

We can confirm that if you are patient and keep refreshing you will get through…eventually.
