Port Adelaide and Adelaide will not be running out in front of a completely empty stadium this weekend, with state authorities allowing a crowd of 2,000 people at Adelaide Oval.

Premier Steven Marshall made the announcement in a press conference alongside Police Commissioner Grant Stevens this afternoon.

The state’s Transition Committee met this morning, deciding that 2,000 fans will be allowed into the stands with another 240 people allowed into private areas at the ground.

However, a second protest in support of the Black Lives Matter movement will not be granted another exemption by SAPOL.

Commissioner Stevens did not rule out handing out fines to those who attend this weekend’s planned protest.

Premier Steven Marshall said further details around stage 3 restrictions’ easing, border restrictions lifting and restrictions on larger venues would be released later this week.
