Chicken nugget fans rejoice, because all of your hopes and dreams are about to come true.

The chicken nugget specialists Motherlode, who you may have seen as a food truck or pop-up venue around the city’s festivals, is about to get a full-time bricks and mortar store.

Motherlode’s popularity has exploded since 2018 when they first began popping up at places like Fringe hubs and Gilles at the Grounds, but if you happened to have a hankering for their god-sent nuggets at 1pm on a random winter Wednesday you were out-of-luck.

The nugget kings and queens will be setting up shop at 142 Hindley Street in the city, and we’re expecting to see all of their trademark crazy takes on the humble chicken nugget.

And we’re told that the Chicken Laksa nugget will be making a comeback for the store’s launch, which is honestly, the best news we’ve heard this week.
