South Australia’s two AFL clubs will see their Queensland stints extended for at least another two weeks following the league’s release of the next round of games.

Both Adelaide and Port Adelaide will play their home and away games in Queensland across rounds 5 and 6.

Adelaide had previously requested that their round 5 game against Fremantle be played at Adelaide Oval, the game will instead be played at the Gold Coast’s Metricon Stadium.

The news also means that both SA clubs will spend another week in their Queensland hub, but will be permitted to return home between rounds 5 and 6.

Upon their return, Adelaide will take on West Coast at The Gabba on Saturday afternoon, while Port will ‘host’ GWS at Metricon on Sunday.
