An entire South Australian town was forced into lockdown as police sought to catch up with a pair of alleged border breachers.
Leigh Creek in South Australia’s north was forced into lockdown, as police warned locals that the pair were allegedly armed and dangerous.
The pair were earlier spotted allegedly driving off from a service station without paying.
Police believe that the pair had crossed the border into SA on Monday, evading the border checkpoint.
Alex Blake and his girlfriend sent police on a chase throughout the Leigh Creek area.
They were eventually arrested on a private property near Beltana in the state’s far north this morning.
