This year’s Christmas Pageant is going to be unlike any other, staged, for the first time in Adelaide Oval instead of along the streets of the city.
And while 300,000 people will not be lining the footpaths to welcome Father Christmas to the city, a select few will be allowed through the gates at Adelaide Oval.
20,000 tickets will be up for grabs on a ballot system, with ballot registrations taking place via ticketing website Ticketek.
Ballot registrations for the twilight pageant will open on Thursday 29th October at 10am and close on Friday October 30 at 10pm.
The lucky pageant-goers will be randomly selected via an electronic ticket draw.
Families are being reminded that there is no need to rush to get tickets, as it is not a case of first-in-best-dressed.
Each person is able to register for up to 5 tickets, with tickets required all children and babies.
If you are successful, you will be sent a digital ticket in the week leading up to the event.
The gates for the pageant will open at 5pm on Saturday November 14, with the first floats and bands rolling on to Adelaide Oval at 7pm before finishing up at 9pm.
Those without tickets will be able to watch Father Christmas come to town live on Channel 9.
