A new Joel Edgerton thriller called The Unknown Man will shoot in South Australia, in a coup for the burgeoning local film industry.

The local film production follows on from Mortal Kombat’s which was the biggest film production in the state’s history.

Edgerton will star alongside UK actor Sean Harris, who was previously seen in the Mission Impossible and 24 Hour Party People.

The film’s producer Rachel Gardner said that the film will begin shooting as soon as it can.

“This is a challenging time for our industry, particularly for crew, but we are gearing up to move straight into production on The Unknown Man, which will be shooting in and around Adelaide, as soon as is practicable,” Gardner said in a statement.

The film is a crime thriller in which two strangers, Henry and Mark, meet and strike up a friendship, however, Henry doesn’t know that Mark is an undercover cop working to convict him of an unsolved murder.

And we know what you’re thinking right now: “how can I sign up to finally get my deserved time on film?”
