A new survey has revealed widespread community support for the Crows’ proposed move into the parklands.
A survey undertaken by public opinion firm YouGov has revealed that 41 per cent of voters support the football club’s move to the current Adelaide Aquatic Centre site.
24 per cent of respondents oppose the plan, while 35 per cent remain undecided.
The news comes after the city council’s public consultation phase on the plans ended, with the results yet to be released.
The plans would see the existing aquatic centre, which was built in 1969 after the closure of the city baths, demolished, with a new aquatic centre, along with Adelaide Football Club’s training and administration facilities.
Should the Crows secure approval to move ahead with the plans, the Federal Government has promised $15 million to help pay for the move.
