A man has been charged with multiple offences after allegedly attacking a Rundle Mall busker with his own ukulele.
The Fringe performer, Matt Eberhart, who is also known as ‘Banana Man’, was performing in the middle of Rundle Mall at around lunchtime yesterday, when the man allegedly grabbed his instrument, and hit him over the head with it.
Members of the public reportedly then jumped into the scene to hold down the man until police arrived. One onlooker tweeted “I just witnessed a street performer in #Adelaide’s #RundleMall”
I just witnessed a street performer in #Adelaide's #RundleMall, have a member of the public, reach forward, grab his ukulele, and smash him over the head with it. Props to the brave men that lept to action to restrain the assailant (1)
