EB Games looks to be on a steep decline with many stores around Australia set to close before the end of the month.

EB World Members began receiving emails on Wednesday, advertising major sales at certain stores ahead of permanent closures.

OzBargain has compiled a list of stores due to close based on emails received by their users. The stores reported as closing are…

ACT – Majura Park (closing 25 January)

NSW – Blacktown, Rockdale, Winston Hills, Birkenhead Point

QLD – Inala, Bribie Island, Underwood, Cleveland

SA – Adelaide City Cross, Brickworks, Hallett Cove, Harbourtown

VIC – Dandenong, Docklands, (and possibly Hamilton)

WA – Dianella, Kalamunda

These stores only are reportedly offering discounts of between 20-60% off the marked price of items storewide but will close around the Australia Day long weekend.

The video games and pop culture retailer is owned by parent company GameStop in the US, which suffered a major decline in sales in 2019. Its share price reportedly fell to its lowest point in 16 years during June.
