One lucky Woolies shopper has found a way to save heaps of money.
It just involves going to your supermarket really late.
One shopper posted to the Markdown Addicts Australia Facebook page saying she had managed to save $90 after getting her hands on 10 cooked chickens at her local Woolies in Greenbank Queensland, for free!
The woman said “Greenbank Wollys (sic) at 8.30pm 10 Free hot cooked chickens, Saved $90.00. Winning.’
The woman said the cheapest before this markdown she had ever seen was $3.80, so this was a ‘huge win’.
She went on to say “The deli manager waved us down when we walked in and told us all the chickens were free as they were full and closing in 30 mins so we jumped at that chance and filled up but left a few still there for others.”
A Woolworths spokesperson confirmed that any markdowns were at the discretion of the store manager. So, it’s not always going to happen.
