The Vagabond – The Garden of Unearthly Delights

Nightly at 9:15 (+10:45 Saturdays)

Strap in for this wild ride. Returning to the Garden after a wildly successful season in 2022, this Strut and Fret production (you know, the team behind every huge Fringe show ever, Limbo, Blanc de Blanc etc) bring you something a little different.

Ask any of the performers from The Purple Rabbit Rides again and they themselves will tell you they don’t really know how to explain this show. Another solid reason to check it out for yourself.

Based predominantly on magic and illusion, there’s an obscene amount of comedy, the kind of comedy you might regret bringing your parents along to. By all means, send them on their own, just save the awkwardness of being with them at the time of viewing.

Dom Chambers, a very funny, talented Aussie magician (with his own show nightly in the Garden) leads this ensemble cast through fast-paced slapstick comedy and magic, burlesque, circus and fire breathing. With performers from several continents, one of your favourites is bound to be Sexy Psychic-ologist Harper Jones who will simultaneously horrify and excite you.

The highlight for me was Dom Chambers opening – all I’ll say to look out for is ‘beers’ – it’s MIND BLOWING.

It’s madness, it’s fast-paced, it’s funny and it’s impressive. It’s definitely not one for the kids, but it’s definitely one that should be on your list for 2023.
